Pupil Premium Information

Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the Government to help schools close the gap between children from low-income families and their peers. It is designed to support pupils who need it most and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Schools receive Pupil Premium funding for:

  •  Children who are currently eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) or have been eligible at any point in the last six years.
  • Children whose parents serve in the armed forces
  •  Children who are looked after by the local authority, adopted from care, or have left care under a special guardianship,     residence, or child arrangement order.

This funding is used to help pupils achieve or exceed national expectations for their age. Each school decides how best to use the money and is accountable for its impact on pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We treat all matters relating to Free School Meals and Pupil Premium with complete confidentiality. Our aim is to help every child reach their full potential. We work closely with families and staff to ensure high aspirations for all pupils. We understand that barriers to learning vary, so we provide tailored support both inside and outside the classroom. Our resources are used to give every child equal access to opportunities and empower them as learners.
